Decisions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Political influence over Government's Decisions:
A decision in favor of the public increases the vote bank because the people who are particularly be benefited from a specific decision usually become loyal to the decision maker. A decision leads to several impacts upon various categories of people. The decision of demonetization affected both positively and negatively. It affected positively to the people who are computer savvy, having skills of using ATMs, Debit and Credit Cards etc. But a large population of India still resides in rural India and not well versed with the technological tools. The decision of demonetization has been taken to control corruption, it may or may not control the corruption but there is disappointment among the rural people when interacted about the demonetization for controlling corruption. There is resentment in farmers, traders, and shopkeepers whenever interacted on demonetization. The Prime Minister's Office is working in coordination with NITI Ayog and Department of Administrative Reforms to take decisions on basis of reports and information available through ministers. The decisions are taken fairly but sometimes seems negative to few categories of people. In first quarter of Year 2018 (Jan-March, 2018), a lot of banking frauds disclosed and directly influenced the investors, banking employees, and customers. The PNB scam and misuse of SWIFT raised the questions on ethical behaviour expected from the banking customers. The Government of India took such types of irregularities very seriously and apart from Auditors, one more regulator is proposed to be in place. Each decision requires information and the role of Government Departments and Ministries cannot be under-estimated. The common man looked only the influence of decision on cost of living and his or her disposable income.Reduction in subsidies annoyed people:
Imposition of taxes and price controls affected traders and companies
Disappointment of industrialists:
Why the Government suffered more instead of good decisions for Indian Economy:
The decisions may be independent but for each decision, it is found that the preparedness of Government was weak and it resulted in more disappointment than satisfaction in the public. For example, the Demonetization affect the life of common men negatively because the banks were not fully prepared to bring the change. In 14th century, Muhammad Bin Tughlaq, then ruler took the decision of ‘currency change’ without preparation and made great loss to the treasury. India still resides in villages and the assumption of cashless economy without preparation can prove very harmful to the economic position of India. There are various companies working globally to make the change happen by adopting step by step procedure. The decision of Demonetization was taken without consultation with RBI, CBI, or other reputed organizations.
Utilization of earnings for Economic Development:
The huge collection of revenues from Goods and Services Tax (GST), taxes on Petroleum Products, and reduction in subsidies; should be utilised for funding the development expenditures of India leading to the welfare of people. Only positive decisions can fill the disappointed hearts of people with satisfaction.
Indians have huge potential - Require Commitment to achieve Goals
'When we want to earn knowledge, learn something new or do it, we should make use of every single moment. And when we have to earn money, that is, progress and growth, every particle, every resource, should be used optimally: PM Modi'
It is fact that dreams are not completed by just imagination.
It requires time to focus upon new learning, new styles, and new
methods to perform things better than the earlier.
